Business Summary:
THE COMPANY
Our client is a multi-location, full-service day care business. All locations are fully equipped and staffed to handle care services for infants through elementary and each is licensed for 150 children. The company was founded in 1998 with the completed construction of its first location, followed by the construction of other freestanding care facilities between 2002 and 2005. Collectively, the buildings consist of approximately 23,000 square feet and care for over 375 children (as of 12/31/06) is provided.
Our client’s underlying philosophy is to provide a clean and safe environment within state-of-the-art facilities staffed with credentialed employees and offering age-appropriate developmental programs designed to stimulate and educate in a caring and nurturing way. The company has approximately 80 employees including managers for each location and a general manager.
The company’s business model is time tested and successful. In the rapidly growing Treasure Valley markets, opportunity exists for a new owner to leverage our client’s name, the business model, management and administrative infrastructure by adding new locations.
THE CUSTOMER AND MARKETS
All locations are in the greater Boise MSA area, better known as the Treasure Valley. The Treasure Valley’s population grew at a pace of over 5% in 2006. Specifically, two of our client’s submarket locations’ year-over-year population grew at an incredible pace of 9.2% and 18.6% in 2006. Each site is strategically chosen for its reasonable proximity to population densities, high employment areas, and easy access to and from nearby major arterials. Each of the locations has the capacity to support the growing population. While pricing for child care services is highly competitive, our client has been able to maintain tuition fees above the industry average. Management believes going forward the secret to success in this industry is to continue to raise the bar for quality child care services while maximizing the capacity of the company assets.
