The owners of this Smoothie & Coffee Franchise have the rights to the whole state of Michigan - they have now decided to sell four of the five territories, maintaining the one close to home and focus on training other franchisees and grow the brand.
This is a tremendous opportunity for one or more Buyers as there are four regions available broken down by location and priced by population. Opportunities can vary from securing the entire territory as a Director of Regional Support, with revenue flowing upstream from individual franchisees – down to the single purchase (which grants the right to open two more).
The products are all high margin items, and a good income stream can be appreciated with very average annual sales. The Smoothie & Coffee storefronts are located in mall kiosks and have a footprint of approximately 200 sf or so. They historically concentrated on smoothies, but recently began to feature a full line of premium coffee products as well (in addition to their cookies, muffins and other sundry items). Since adding coffee, sales and net income have increased sharply.
Each franchisee is granted the right to open 3 retail operations, either a kiosk or mobile display carts or combination thereof. Significant revenues can be achieved from these portable carts, typically spotted at art fairs, graduation parties, school functions, football (sporting events), and the like. Area Developers- selling all the territory in Michigan except the Midwest market where they are located. Regions are for sale as a single unit @ $.12 per person based on their single territory population, or as an entire group based upon a population of 7MM @ $.10 per person, or $700,000.
