Business Summary:
Multi-function marine product fabricator and wholesaler of light weight concrete panels used for docks, decks and patios. The process is PLC controlled and uses lightweight aggregate that results in very strong tile with 40% less weight than limestone aggregate. Each tile is inserted with a special(patented) rebar which is made by the company from flat stock steel. From an operational position, inside curing capacity is 2500 pieces and outside storage is 12,000; produced 80,000 tiles in 2007; daily precast production capacity is 600 pieces. All material ordering is done on a Kanban basis using a computer model. In addition to aggregate tiles, a fiberglass facility produces dock boxes, live well fish tanks, diving boards and water slides. The facility also includes large prototyping set up including an iron worker, aluminum and steel welders, band saws and measurement equipment. In addition to one on one sales and marketing, a general product catalog with pricing is available in hard copy and electronic format. A new website is now available to postiion the company for national expansion.
