They have a large database of circa 1,000 regular repeat customers who are mainly, independent stores, mini markets and corner shops and who rely on the wholesaler for their shop supplies.
The business has a good supply chain of manufacturers and clearance houses which they purchase their goods from. There is a basic all year round range of products plus the addition of periodical lines and special offer lines to offer their customers. The customers are visited on a three week journey cycle by a small team of sales representatives who take the orders, these are then processed at the head office, picked, packed and delivered within a two/three day period.
