Business Summary:
This lighthearted, uplifting publication is issued twice per month and distributed to restaurants in local communities on the western slope of Colorado. Revenues are generated from approximately 100 advertisers, many of whom have been with the publication for several years. They currently operate in five communities in western Colorado and have one syndicate out of state. The owners work part-time. An outside company prints the publications, however, that work could be brought in-house since the company owns the necessary equipment. This would create a substantial cost savings. They have one sales person and two part-time people who help distribute the publication. The business could be grown by expanding into additional communities, adding syndicates and establishing a presence on the Internet. While other media are struggling for ad revenue and readership this company has done very well. With some aggressive marketing, there is considerable upside potential.
