The first Wingate Inn � hotel was opened in 1996. In 2007, the Wingate Inn brand was aligned with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts� and changed its name to Wingate� by Wyndham. Wingate by Wyndham properties are all-new construction hotels, with all-inclusive pricing and standard amenities and were designed with input from seasoned traveler, travel agents and hotel developers to be the premier upper mid-market limited service business hotel. Today there are nearly 160 hotels open and under development in the U.S. and Canada.

Wingate by Wyndham is a part of the Wyndham Hotel Group. Wyndham Hotel Group is the world's largest franchisor, as measured by the number of participating hotels, with 10 lodging brands ranging from economy to upscale accommodations and provides property management services.
